Your contact details help us answer your enquiry. Submitting a message does not subscribe you to marketing emails. Please do not send children’s personal information.
Who we are
BOOKTOT Inc., Canada, operates booktot.com. For privacy questions or requests, contact our privacy contact at info@booktot.com.
Information you provide
When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, chosen topic, message, and confirmation that we may use this information to respond. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and the information you include.
How we use your information
We use enquiry information to read and answer your message, follow up on your request, and handle privacy questions. We use limited technical information to operate the website, prevent spam, and investigate delivery or security problems. We do not sell enquiry information or use contact-form submissions to enrol you in marketing.
Hosting, email, and service providers
Our website and business mailbox are hosted through Bluehost. Contact-form messages are passed to the hosting provider’s mail service for delivery to info@booktot.com. Hosting and email providers process information needed to deliver and protect these services. Technical logs may include your IP address, browser details, requested pages, and access times.
Service providers may process or store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where local laws may permit access by public authorities. Information may also be disclosed when required by law. Learn more about our hosting provider’s practices in Bluehost’s privacy policy.
Cookies and spam prevention
The contact form uses an essential session cookie to help protect submissions against misuse. It is not used for advertising. The form also uses an automated spam-trap field and a submission limit based on a hashed network address. Rate-limit records are temporary and expire after one hour; expired files are removed during subsequent submission processing. Server session and access-log retention is managed by the hosting service.
Our website code does not include advertising trackers, analytics tools, or third-party embedded media. You can block cookies in your browser, but the contact form may then fail. You can email us instead.
Keeping and protecting information
Enquiries are stored in our business mailbox. We keep them only as long as needed to respond, manage relevant follow-up, and meet legal obligations. You may ask us to delete information that is no longer needed. Provider logs and backups follow the provider’s retention practices and may not be erased immediately.
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information, including restricted mailbox access. No online transmission or storage method is completely secure. Please avoid sending sensitive information through this form or ordinary email.
Your choices and requests
You may contact info@booktot.com to request access to or correction of your personal information, request deletion, withdraw consent to further use, or raise a privacy concern. We may need enough information to verify your identity. Requests are subject to applicable legal requirements; withdrawing consent may limit our ability to continue helping with your enquiry.
If a concern remains unresolved, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the relevant privacy regulator.
Children and the BookTot App
The contact form is intended for adults. We do not ask children to submit personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us so we can address it and remove information where appropriate.
This policy covers the corporate website. The BookTot App is in development and will have its own privacy policy describing its features and data practices before release.
Links and policy updates
External websites have their own privacy practices. We will update this policy when our website practices change and show the revision date above. Where required, we will seek consent before using information for a new purpose.
